Camber Sands

Watersports

The beach at Camber is exposed to strong winds at times, making it perfect for daring water sports like windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing.

Nearby schools offer tuition or if you're a beginner, but the expanse of unspoilt sand, dynamic sea and powerful winds make Camber the perfect place to perfect your skills.

Kitesurfers can often be seen in the sea at Camber, flying through the water on their boards, powered by the wind catching their kites.  This sport is becoming more and more popular and you can pick up the skills at a water sports school in Camber.

The huge stretch of sand is also perfect for other, less risky, seaside pursuits like volleyball, rounders and cricket and of course, building sandcastles!  Camber was also recently voted on of the top ten places in the country for beachcombing, so who knows what treasures you'll find.

Other spots in 1066 Country have perfect conditions for water sports - try Pevensey Bay, where the same combination of sun, wind and waves make the beach a popular base for windsurfers.  Hastings' and Bexhill's beaches are also used by thrill-seeking visitors for sailing, yachting, windsurfing, canoeing and jet skiing.
