The Fishing Boat Parade and Race

This colourful fun event was instigated by the fishermen of Hastings some 10 years ago.  Between 15 and 20 working fishing boats, decorated for the occasion, assemble at the Harbour Arm where, after a boisterous start, the costumed crews race to Hastings Pier.

The boats are filled with friends and family and, indeed, anyone who cares to make the trip.  So if you fancy a memorable exhilarating experience, come along and see if there's room on board.  Those who prefer to enjoy the proceedings in a more sedate fashion can watch from the beach!
